Preview

Following the announcement of being named finalists in all 11 entered categories at the Australian Modern Barber Awards, The Barber Club has taken the next step—converting recognition into results on one of the industry’s biggest stages. Building on that momentum, the 2026 AMBAs marked a defining moment for the brand, with multiple wins that reinforce its position as a leader in modern barbering across Australia.

Turning Finalists Into Winners -
The Leader Behind The Brand Jordan

Tabakman was awarded Australian Best Business Director, a recognition that reflects not only leadership, but the strategic growth and direction behind The Barber Club’s continued expansion. His influence has played a major role in shaping the systems, culture, and vision that underpin the brand’s success. Over the past 11 years, Jordan has transformed The Barber Club into one of Australia’s leading men’s grooming brands, expanding to six salons across Australia. Internationally, he has grown the brand into Bali with salons in Canggu and soon to be Uluwatu.

Lorenzo Manuele from The Barber Club Richmond secured Australia’s Best Freestyle Collection, further reinforcing his reputation as one of the most creative forces within the industry. His work continues to push boundaries, blending technical precision with forward-thinking artistry that sets new standards in modern barbering.

Guy Holliday from M9 Media was recognised as Australia’s Best Barber Photographer, highlighting the importance of visual storytelling within the brand. His ability to capture the essence of barbering—from detail shots to full collections—has become a key part of how The Barber Club presents itself across digital platforms.

Liam Saunders from The Barber Club Richmond earned Australian Best Classic Collection, demonstrating mastery in traditional barbering techniques. His work highlights the importance of precision and fundamentals, proving that while trends evolve, classic barbering remains a cornerstone of the craft.

The Barber Club Bentleigh was awarded Australia’s Best Barber Business, a standout achievement that reflects excellence across every aspect of the salon. From team culture and performance to branding, design, and client experience, Bentleigh continues to set a high benchmark for what a modern barbershop should represent within the industry. Ten years on from its 2016 win at the Australian Hair Industry Awards for Best Barber Business of the Year. This milestone further cements its position as one of Australia’s leading barbershops, demonstrating not only longevity at the top level, but sustained evolution, consistency, and industry leadership over time. Since opening in 2006, The Barber Club Bentleigh has built an exceptional reputation, supported by 4,647 five-star reviews on Fresha and 316 five-star Google reviews, along with a strong social media presence of over 20,000 Instagram followers.

A Defining Win for Customer Experience

Among the highlights of the night was The Barber Club Ringwood being awarded Australian Best Customer Care, led by Jordan Tabakman and Luke Kelso. This win holds particular significance, as it reflects the brand’s core focus on delivering more than just a haircut—it represents a complete client experience.

From the moment a client walks through the door to the final result in the chair, The Barber Club Ringwood has built a reputation for consistency, attention to detail, and genuine connection. In an increasingly competitive industry, customer care has become one of the most important differentiators, and this award reinforces the systems and culture that drive that experience.

More Than Awards—A Reflection of Standards

These results go beyond individual achievements. They represent the collective effort of a team committed to excellence across every level of the business. From education and creativity to operations and client service, The Barber Club continues to raise the bar for what clients can expect from a barbershop experience. The earlier recognition of 11 finalist positions already demonstrated the brand’s depth. These wins now confirm its ability to convert opportunity into achievement—an indicator of both structure and performance at scale.

Looking Ahead

While the results of the 2026 AMBAs mark a significant milestone, The Barber Club remains focused on continued growth. The brand’s direction remains clear: to keep evolving, innovating, and setting new standards within the industry. Future focus areas include expanding education, refining the customer experience, elevating shop design, and continuing to develop the next generation of barbers within the network.

With salons located in Port Melbourne, Bentleigh, Richmond, Ringwood, Yarraville, and the Gold Coast, The Barber Club continues to deliver a consistent, high-level experience backed by national recognition. From being named finalists across all entered categories to securing major wins on the night, the journey reflects a brand that is not only growing—but leading.
